Fresh from a book event and television interview in York, I took a bit of a break from everyday life to go on a writing retreat.
This time, it was a trip to the town of Sainte-Adele in Quebec, Canada. While there in the mountains, the area got the heaviest snowfall of the year. Rushing riverside locale, steaming hot tubs and Finnish sauna, snow-topped evergreens blowing in the wind, a comfortable rocking chair next to a crackling fireplace … the perfect setting for writing a new childrens’ book set in a cold climate.
Nataliya is at work illustrating the new book, and a solid draft is completed. It may be a few years before the new book sees a book shelf, but in the meantime, there’s always our current book! Flightless Goose
is available for purchase now at www.RunGoose.com

Now … back to the work of writing in the real world.
