Take a Step Back in Time at The Historic York Inn / Smyser-Bair House

The Historic York Inn located in the Smyser-Bair House has been an anchor in the City of York's downtown historic district since the early 1800s.

Take a step back in time by watching this one-minute commercial, highlighting some of the many features of this painstakingly preserved monument to the Victorian era.

Want to see it in person? Why not join us for the Lit & Art Reading Series during the City of York's First Friday festivities on Friday, December 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. when we'll be hosting a traditional Holiday Book Bazaar with poetry and literary readings, live music, original art, and lots of books and art for sale. The event, along with refreshments and tours of the mansion, are free and open to the public.

But for now, take a look at the commercial at www.YorkInn.info

Also, like the inn's Facebook page at www.Facebook.com/SmyserBairHouse

You'll be thankful you did.

Escape to Federal Hill Reading This Sunday

The Book Escape in Federal Hill will be hosting an Author Reading Event on Sunday, November 11 at 3 p.m. featuring Sid Gold, Kathleen Hellen, and myself. We’ll be reading from our fiction and poetry as well as signing books for some book-loving attendees. All are welcome, and that includes you!

It happens to be Veteran’s Day, and I plan to read from “Freedom,” a story included in Tracks: A Novel in Stories.

Join us on Sunday, 11/11 at 3 p.m. at The Book Escape, 805 Light St. Federal Hill.
