A Poem Published in The Woodside Review

 

My poem, “Grand,” has been published in The Woodside Review.

Sometimes a travel story or scene in a book using isn’t enough to paint the emotional truth of a place. Set at the edge of the Grand Canyon, this poem explores the overwhelming sense of awe and insignificance we sometimes feel in the face of nature’s vastness—and how the simple act of connection can shift that perspective.

“Those sensations paled
before the infinite abyss.
Insignificance overwhelmed,
until your hand took mine…”
