Gold Medal in the Baltimore Sun and Towson Times

The 2012 Independent Publisher Book Awards Gala took place from 6 to 9:30 p.m. at The Providence in New York City this past Monday, June 4. I was there with my publisher and literary agent to receive my Gold Medal for Best Fiction in the Mid-Atlantic Region for Tracks: A Novel in Stories.

While I was taking a bite of the Big Apple, my print-self was in Baltimore. After a chat with reporter and fellow author Bob Allen, I was featured in The Baltimore Sun and the Towson Times. The article: “Rodgers Forge resident makes ‘Tracks’ with literary prize for first novel.”

Allen writes, “Someone once described the ambition of getting a novel published as ‘a slender keyhole through which few have passed.’

“Rodgers Forge resident Eric Goodman has passed through that keyhole, and has found rewards on the other side …”

"It has been a long road, but it was never work for me.”
