Don't Miss the Festivities
Lovers of Literature won't want to miss next weekend's Baltimore Book Festival, touted as the mid-Atlantic's premier celebration of the literary arts. Featured authors include Sebastian Junger (A Death in Belmont, The Perfect Storm), former Governer James McGreevey, Washington Writers' Publishing House Author Moria Egan, historical factionalist Kate Dolan, and short story writer Nathan Leslie.
Not to mention a different sort of Sunday morning reading at the CityLit Stage, featuring local authors Christine Stewart, Judy Turner, Paul Lagasse, Nancy Greene, Barbara Friedland, Fernando Quijano III, and Eric D. Goodman.
Literary agents and first-time authors will offer advice to writers. The editor-in-cheif of Cosmo and the man behind Sesame Street's Elmo will be present. Even local filmmaker John Waters will be in attendance. And be sure not to miss Friday night's Books and Brew.
The festival runs all weekend, Friday, September 29 to Sunday, October 1.
For more info, and the complete schedule, see the Book Fest's website.
